COSMETICS entrepreneur Nur Sajat (pic) was nowhere to be seen when police and religious authorities raided his home on Sunday night, Kosmo! reported.
The 36-year-old, whose real name is Muhammad Sajjad Kamaruz Zaman, is wanted for failing to attend proceedings at the Syariah High Court.
According to sources, only his father Kamaruz Zaman Harun, 68, his maid, and two stepchildren were at his home in Section 10, Kota Damansara, Selangor.
“After further investigation, and a full search at his house, authorities failed to find Sajat, ” said the source.
He had reportedly poked fun at religious authorities over social media by claiming that authorities do not dare “knock on his door” to arrest him.
Rajat made the remarks after his followers asked him where he was on Instagram.
On Jan 6, Sajat was charged with insulting Islam and allegedly committed the offense at his beauty center in Section 16, Shah Alam, at 7.30 pm on Feb 23, 2018.
The offense under Section 10(a) of the Syariah Crimes (Selangor) Enactment 1995 carries a maximum fine of RM5,000 or imprisonment not exceeding three years or both if convicted.
